FOR WRITERS
Today’s writer topic comes from QSFer Hank T. Cannon:
LGBTQIA action heroes: what do you put into them that satisfies the tropes of the genre, but also makes them yours, out side of the cookie cutter mainstream action hero? Maybe that is the point, LGBTIQA action heroes are just like mainstream action heroes except for the romance part?
I’ve got this image in my head of this pretty boy, dancing in a g-string at GLBT night club, where vampires and monsters are attacking the club. He looks like he’s going to be lunch, when he surprises the audience to fighting the monsters and protecting a man, who’s much burlier than him from being a vampire’s lunch. :)= I’ve only written fragments of this idea, but I do enjoy it when an action hero is unique or individual in some way, not conforming to the type. Not that I write action a lot.
