Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming second season of “Sense8.” The trailer shows the Sense8 members becoming closer and learning more about their mental connection to each other. The eight are still under threat by the organization Whispers who consider the Sense8 crew, “a threat to secrecy.” Season two will have a shakeup in the cast. Our favorite anti-hero is back to save the day. Or at least come super close to saving it. On Saturday, Ryan Reynolds released a teaser for the upcoming “Deadpool 2” movie on YouTube. In it, the badly scarred, wise-cracking killer sees an elderly man getting robbed and takes to a phone booth to get changed. He doesn’t pull it off as well as Superman. The first official trailer for Ridley Scott’s “Alien: Covenant” that dropped late Saturday night is a real festive treat for sci-fi fans. “Covenant” is the sixth film in the movie franchise and takes place after 2012’s “Prometheus,” but before the events of the 1979 original film. Netflix has just debuted a trailer for the Wachowskis’ Sense8 Christmas Special that will be released on December 23. The 2-hour special is is essence the first episode of season 2 of the entrancing series that follows the lives of 8 individuals who find they are connected mentally and physically in ways they never could have imagined. While the second 10-episode season will be released in earnest on May 5, this special lays the groundwork. “Doctor Who” is going stateside this Christmas. The BBC released an action-packed trailer for the sci-fi series’ holiday episode on Friday, titled “The Return of Doctor Mysterio.” The teaser lasts only 30 seconds, but it does appear to show Peter Capaldi’s titular character teaming up with an investigative reporter and a figure known as “The Ghost” to save Manhattan from brain-swapping aliens.
