A same-sex superhero gay couple will be headlining a mainstream comic book for the first time net month. Midnighter and Apollo, the leather-clad ass-kicking team, will be back together in the groundbreaking DC Comics book. The Midnighter solo, written by gay author Steve Orlando, ended in May. The CW is adding a new character to the next season of Supergirl. She’s a cop, she’s hot, and she was engaged to Batwoman. The Hollywood Reporter reported Wednesday that the CBS-turned-CW superhero series about Superman’s cousin Kara Zo-Rel has hired Floriana Lima to play Maggie Sawyer on the show’s sophomore season. Captain America and Bucky Barnes are finally going to have gay sex, but it won’t exactly be canon. Following the excitement over gay porn versions of X-Men: Apocalypse and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it was only a matter of time we would have an XXX version of Captain America: Civil War.
