Rogue One, A Star Wars Story

“The power that we’re dealing with here … is immeasurable.” That’s the new villain Director Krennic, getting in the masked face of a familiar menace, Darth Vader, in the new Rogue One trailer, delivering fans a new glimpse into the first Star Wars spin-off film. The story is set just before the events of 1977’s original movie and will reveal just how Princess Leia came to be in possession of the Death Star plans that allowed Luke Skywalker to swoop in and destroy the battle station. First Film Trailer for ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY

Rogue One

The first trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is out and all I can say is: it’s about time. The animated series was a great start, but I really wanted to see a live-action film or series that echoes the wonder of the films. This first trailer looks very promising. Plus: Forest Whitaker and At-AT Walkers! Full Story at SF Signal

A New Hope, The Force Awakens

While Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the true definition of a box office phenomenon, one that fans and critics both loved, there is a huge problem people have had with the movie since it arrived in theaters this past December. And that’s the fact that it is way too similar to Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Both stories certainly run parallel to each other, and both hit some of the same beats to the minute. Now, a new study shows that the two movies are much more similar than you may have originally thought! McGill University … Read more

Star Wars to Get LGBTIQ Characters

JJ Abrahms

The director behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens has told The Daily Beast that there will indeed be openly gay characters zapping through the galaxy far, far away — in relatively near franchise installments. Making the rounds at a pre-Oscars event at his Bad Robot HB in LA, J.J. Abrams said it’s time that the Star Wars universe becomes more inclusive, referencing the LGBTQ community, and thankfully making no mention of Jar-Jar Binks: “To me, the fun of Star Wars is the glory of possibility,” he said. “So it seems insanely narrow-minded and counterintuitive to say there wouldn’t be a … Read more
