Disney-Pixar’s upcoming film Lightyear has been banned in 14 different countries following the re-inclusion of a same-sex kiss. The spin-off of the critically acclaimed Toy Story movie franchise will not make it to cinemas in several countries including Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Lebanon. Pixar producer has explained the importance of a “touching” same-sex kiss in Lightyear being restored after it was initially cut from the film. According to Variety, the origin story of Toy Story‘s Buzz Lightyear features Pixar’s first onscreen lesbian kiss, which was reportedly cut from the film.
