FILM: New Mutants to Feature “Groundbreaking” Lesbian Romance

The New Mutants director Josh Boone has said the groundbreaking same-sex romance is the most exciting part of the film. The upcoming X-Men spinoff will feature a relationship between superheroes Rahne Sinclair (Maisie Williams) and Danielle Moonstar (Blu Hunt). The New Mutants was filmed in 2017 but had its release stalled by Disney’s acquisition of Fox. It will finally hit cinemas in the UK on 4 September.
