After being pushed out of 2020 thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans got a glimpse of its cosmic-meets-mythology ensemble piece “Eternals” Monday with the release of the film’s first teaser trailer. The trailer gives fans their first look at the star-studded cast in their heroic best, including Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek and Kumail Nanjiani. Gal Gadot’s production company has secured the rights to new novel Meet Me in Another Life – and she will star in the lead role. Catriona Silvey’s debut novel published in the US last week (27 April) by HarperCollins follows Thora and Santi, a man and a woman who continue to meet in numerous versions of reality. Eternals actor Haaz Sleiman promises LGBT+ fans will be “so proud” to see Marvel’s first ever same-sex couple in the hotly-anticipated new film. The Lebanese-American star plays the husband of superhero Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry), the first openly gay hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
