Warner Brothers has released new characters and confirmed the key actors for Fantastic Beasts 2. Filming of the sequel began at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden this week. It’s previously been announced that Jude Law will be playing Dumbledore, while Johnny Depp will play Grindelwald. The second Fantastic Beasts movie will also see the return of queer star Ezra Miller, who plays the role of Credence. A Warner Bros announcement teases he will be returning ‘in a mysterious way’. Jude Law will play a young Albus Dumbledore in the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” sequel, according to Variety. Set in the 1920s, the film will show Dumbledore as the professor of transfiguration before he became Hogwarts headmaster and mentor to Harry Potter. Johnny Depp will also appear in the “Harry Potter” prequel as the villainous Grindelwald, Dumbledore’s childhood friend and first love.
