Just got this from Kristina Piet, one of the organizers of Rainbow Con:
We only have 5-7 author slots left (we’re in the process of updating our lists again, since there have been quite a few more registrations the last couple weeks). Àuthor registration is $125 for the four-day conference and comes with the perks of being listed as an Attending Author, having the opportunity to put items into the welcome bags, and promote themselves by appearing on panels, having an author reading, and being part of the author signing.
And if they can’t make it out, there are always sponsorship opportunities or buying advertising space in our programs. The prices of ads range from only $25, so they’re very affordable. Sponsorships range from $100 up. The larger sponsorships, if someone really wants to support us (just on the off chance) are more in the $1000 range but can be shared by more than one person. All the information is on the website in the Sponsor and Advertising sections, but it’s worth mentioning if people want to support the event but can’t make it out to Tampa in July.
We’ve also started advertising partnerships with other cons around the country, which is kind of exciting. If you’d like me to list the cons we’ve been working with, I can.
I also went around Ybor to chat up a bunch of clubs there, and quite a few will likely be sponsoring RainbowCon, even with Tampa Pride only a week away. So that’s pretty exciting, too.
Are you coming? We’ll have a big QSF presence there this year and a get together the first day.
