Call for Submissions: The Matador Review

Alternative art and literature magazine The Matador Review is now accepting submissions for the Fall 2018 publication. We publish poetry, fiction, flash fiction, and creative non-fiction, inviting all unpublished literature written in the English language (and translations that are accompanied by the original text) as well as many forms of visual art. The call for submissions will end August 31, 2018. More information on submitting to The Matador Review can be found at our submissions page.

The first ever female Doctor Who sent fans wild at the Comic Con International show this week by throwing gender labels into a time warp. Actress Jodie Whittaker made a surprise appearance on stage at the Her Universe Fashion Show, giving fans a glimpse of her character’s new trench coat and sonic screwdriver. A reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is in the works – but not as you know it. Deadline reports that a new TV show based on the cult classic is in development at 20th Century Fox Television. A sequel to cult classic Hocus Pocus is in the works – and the plot reportedly includes a lesbian love story.
