QSFer K.R. Bady has a new FF sci-fi/paranormal book out, The Nine Bloodlines book 2: Hero.
Blythe Ramos left her home planet behind years ago, along with a promising career. She told herself it wasn’t a big loss, Earth was on its deathbed anyway, and the moon was a safer bet since she made an enemy out of Earth’s most notorious supremacist group. Parting ways with her chosen family was another matter. None of it was what she wanted, but it was necessary for survival. The sacrifices were supposed to be worth it.
Unfortunately, driving Blythe off the face of the Earth wasn’t enough for Humans First. They’ve caught up to her at last, and now she’s back in their crosshairs.
But this time, she might not be alone.
In a galaxy designed to polarize the Nocturni species from the humans they’re derived from, no one would expect to find a lone Nocturna in a human compound. Nevertheless, Blythe discovers an unlikely ally in a captive vampire, and despite the despicable circumstances bringing them together, Blythe cannot deny the connection between them. No matter their pasts or the disparities between their species, Blythe and the Nocturna set out to free themselves of their enemy and maybe, just maybe, make a life worth living in the aftermath.

Author Bio
K.R. Bady is a queer sci-fi/fantasy fanatic and self-proclaimed nerd who happens to be a professional visual artist by trade, now at the begining of her writing career. Companion is her first professionally published work, one in a planned series showcasing nonconventional characters and relationships. Up till now, she has exercised her written talents in fan fiction, but it is her sincere hope that she can provide today’s LGBTQ+ community with the representation in fiction that she sorely missed as a young reader and fanfic writer.
