FOR WRITERS

Today’s writer topic comes from QSFer Tami Veldura:

“What marketing efforts do you pursue for your brand/backlist beyond a book release?”

It’s a great question. Many of us do blog tours for the initial release. But once that’s over, do you just figure your book is done and move on to the next one? Or do you have a strategy for building sales after the initial few weeks?

  1. I grab unwitting children off the street and sacrifice them to the book sale gods. Then I collapse in a cave without food or water for three weeks to appease said gods.
After that, pizza and binge watching Razia Sultan lounging atop boxes of my books that haven’t sold.
    Advice, appreciated.
(Razia Sultan, highly recommended for reality escape.)
