Religious or Racial Minorities in the Future: I had written a fanfic about Andromeda where I had a member of a culture who venerated Ayn Rand celebrating Kwanzaa.

While people had no problem with the concept that Ayn Rand would still be read 3,000 years from now people had a BIG problem with the survival of an Afro-American holiday.

How do we as writers handle a future for modern marginal identites?
