FOR WRITERS
Today’s writer topic comes from QSFer Victoria Stagg Elliott:
A friend of mine was recently at a presentation at his company. They presented data saying that 6% of Baby Boomers identify as LGBT, 12% of Gen X-ers identify as LGBT, and 24% of millennials identify as LGBT.
How could that trend form the basis of a really cool sci-fi novel? Or would there be a backlash that could also form the basis of a really cool sci-fi story?
I suspect that these different generations have been imprinted with different definitions of what can be included in LGBT+ identities, so that with the wider net, so to speak, more younger people can see themselves as somewhere within the non-binary spectrum.
