FOR READERS
Today’s writer topic comes from QSFer Wendy Rathbone:
For ebooks, the prices vary a lot. Publishers tend to price higher, indies price lower. Amazon only allows a 70% royalty to indies if they price between $2.99-9.99 (and only 35% if they are lower or higher), so that is the sweet spot for authors no matter the book’s page count. But as a reader, are you deterred by higher prices? Do you want only deals, or 99 centers? What is the price range you prefer? What is the highest you’ll go before you won’t even hit the “buy” button?
