Superman’s son has finally come out to his father as bisexual in an emotional edition of the comic – and of course, he accepts him.
The heartfelt moment fans everywhere had been waiting for finally happened in issue 17 of Superman: Son of Kal-El in what was an incredibly well-written back-and-forth between Superman and his son, Jon Kent.
Editor’s Note: I bought my first comic book in the late seventies – Action Comics #500. Superman was my idol – strong and handsome and good. To finally see him (even if it’s his super son) coming out as Bi… it makes me cry. I lost all my comics when I came out – my girlfriend’s father kept them – which makes this extra poignant for me. And it makes me remember that sometimes good things still happen in the world. –Scott
