Chris Pine is happy to see that the Star Trek franchise is finally getting a little gay.
The upcoming Star Trek: Discovery TV series for CBS All Access will have a gay character and it was revealed in the recent Star Trek Beyond film that the character of Sulu is gay.
‘Amen, man. It’s about f—ing time,’ Pine tells The Hollywood Reporter. ‘The fact that there’s still a conversation about it means that there’s still room to go in terms of it being normalized.’
