Trans non-binary actor Zoe Terakes has been cast in a key role in the upcoming Disney+ series Ironheart, Deadline reports. The actor, who starred in Prime’s Nine Perfect Strangers, is the second trans actor to be cast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the first in a Disney+ series. DC Films has unexpectedly cancelled its Batgirl film, despite it having already been filmed. The film – which was to introduce DC Films’ first transgender character, played by Ivory Aquino – was due to be released on HBO Max. But it was confirmed on Tuesday (2 August) that the film won’t see the light of day.
