A meteor attack has changed the world as we know it. Most of the people that survived now have special powers. However, as with all people, some are good and some are evil. There is a group of men that were brought together by the World Council called MYSTIC. MYSTIC is a group of men with multiple powers known as celestials. They are only brought in to deal with Nefariouses. These are men with powers used for their own evil, twisted purpose.
Bram is the Director of MYSTIC. From the moment Bram heard Matt say “Yes, sir,” he knew this was his one true mate. However, for his entire life Matty has suffered serious self-esteem issues and thought himself worthless and unwanted. Can Bram teach Matty he is worth their mating while he tries to keep Matty from a mad man as well as the Eliminators that have set out to steal his mate?

The pounding of the hammer matched the pounding headache Bram felt while the construction was going on around him. He couldn’t wait until this shit was over and quiet was restored.
Bram was the director of Mystery Yielding Supernatural Telekinetic Investigation Corporation, better known as MYSTIC. He had been leading the agency since it was founded by the United Government Council over twenty-five years ago.
MYSTIC was formed shortly after the great meteor attack that changed the world as everyone knew it. Many lives were lost that day. Those that weren’t lost were altered for all eternity when a green fog was cast out over the earth.
According to scientists, the fog had gamma rays within it and it altered the DNA of the men that survived, giving them gifts they had not had before. Everyone had a label and that label was determined by how many gifts you had and what they were used for.
An Animator had one gift. Whether it was used for good or bad purposes was up to the individual. However, all were held accountable for their actions.
The next category was Inerts. Now, these were men that had no powers at all. For some reason, when the green fog had come, they
were not affected at all. The sad thing here was that, where people with the gifts lived and didn’t age after what looked like their thirtieth birthday, Inerts aged normally and died just as they had before the meteor strike, and since no women were given gifts and were either sterile or gave birth to only men, they were almost extinct at this point.
Celestials were the group that baffled many scientists at first. These were men that were given multiple gifts—or powers, depending on how you looked at it—like Bram and the other MYSTIC agents.
Bram could now stop time as well as create an illusion that anyone would believe was actually taking place right then. What many didn’t know was that he could go straight into a person’s mind and pull out their deepest, darkest secrets and use those to help or to hinder that person.
The thing was that, when a Celestial used their gifts to purposefully kill another, they become a Nefarious. These were people with no soul, feelings, or care for others. The Nefarious were why the MYSTIC agency was created to begin with.

Cree lives in Southern New Mexico. The only thing she loves more than reading about gorgeous men and love is writing about them. Spending time with her friends and family is very important to her.
