QSFers Dani Hermit and Nevi Star have a new MM Horror book out:
The men of the Parliament will be forced to discover what they are made of whilst facing Demons and the truth of the internal workings of the Parliament of Twilight itself.
How will Jacob cope with not being able to save Brodie from the very real horrors of his fake ghost hunting show?
Still the Doctor’s captive, can Night Owl find a way to escape or will he give in to the madman’s demands?
Can Julian survive the most brutal challenge of his career as an Agent – his mentors Duke & Duchess?
Is RT’s unfolding romance with Kayden Miles doomed? Will Kayden’s father, Aughton, prove to be their undoing or the least of their worries? And what kinks will Siris add to the already complicated situation?
The next installment of the Parliament of Twilight series delivers mortal peril, real demons, shady hitchhikers, and the unparalleled ache of young love. And these boys are just getting warmed up!

Excerpt
It wasn’t the quiet that bothered the Prince of Demons, but rather the lack of warmth. As close as the main palace sat to the boiling lakes of lava, there shouldn’t have been a chill anywhere within the walls. But in the suite of rooms given to his favored disciple the air was bordering on frigid. This deviation from the natural order of the Underworld bothered him in a way he couldn’t quite describe.
Sitting on the edge of the decadently outfitted bed, he traced a line of gold through the pillow and frowned as the fabric nearly crumbled under his touch. That was not good. In this land of perpetual death and decay, the Demons who lived in the palace took great pains to reinforce their possessions against the realm most frequently referred to as Hell. And prissy Bel would not have let his things decay one bit. Lucifer had never seen anything in Bel’s rooms crumble.
Though it was hard to tell one day from the next here in the Underworld, the Prince of Demons knew it had been several days at least since Bel had been home. He’d visited the Demon’s rooms repeatedly to find him still away. But if Bel had intended to stay in the upper worlds this long, he would have taken the time to reweave the spells before he left. Based on the state of decay, he hadn’t done the required incantations in quite some time.
Chewing on the side of his thumb while he looked around, Lucifer wondered if he was going to have to use a summons to bring his servant to heel. He finally decided to give Bel a few more hours. If he wasn’t back by then, some action would have to be taken.
In the back of his mind, the Master knew Bel was fine. He could feel the mischief his disciple was stirring up easily enough. It was just strange he would choose to stay gone for so very long and drain himself. This must be something very important or very distracting that he was working on.
Lucifer didn’t like it either way. He had no patience for anything that distracted Bel from attending him for too long.
Pausing at the door, he wondered what could be done about the state of the room. The spell used to preserve his belongings was of Bel’s personal design and Lucifer wasn’t sure if it would react badly to a different spell being woven over it. Demons were by nature paranoid creatures. It wouldn’t be unusual for a preservation spell to have a trap woven into it.
Well, there were advantages to being the Prince of Demons and the Lord of the Underworld.
With a few carefully chosen ancient words, he froze time inside the suite. As he walked out, the Master bit down his thumb, drawing a few drops of blood. Closing the door, he sealed it with his personal sigil. Even Bel wouldn’t be able to open the door without coming to see him first.
He could go back to his throne room and deal with a bit of the day’s business without concern about his unruly minion coming and leaving again without reporting to him.
Not that he was particularly interested in doing his duties today. He was in a mood to just lay in Bel’s lap and be fed sweet treats while listening to his second–in–command sing or perhaps read to him. The stories of the upper worlds always were a good distraction for those times when he wished to be utterly irresponsible.
Flicking back his long silver hair, Lucifer headed for his own suite. Since he was not going to be able to take some time off, the silk kimono and sandals he had originally chosen to wear would not do for the pomp and circumstance of holding court in the throne room. He needed something more imposing.
Probably something with armor. Yes, today was a good day for armor.
Author Bio
One half of the writing team of Hermit & Star Books, Dani Hermit started out as an avid lover of books. Around age 12, there was a moment that she clearly remembers that changed her life from being a bookworm to a writer. Standing in the local library, she looked around at all the books and realized that someone had to write all of them. She went home that day determined that she was going to be one of those someones.
Beginning with some really fun, though never to see the light of day, X-Men fanfics, she honed her craft until she met the love of her life and art school survivor, Nevi Star. Coming from a similar life-long love of books and stories, it was easy for the pair to bond over their love of writing. They began working on a massive multi-author project together and fell in love along the way. They have been partners in love and work for over 15 years.
Together they have been working on the Parliament of Twilight books, in all their various incarnations, for ten years along with other side projects and fanfictions. In 2014, they finally found the format and final version of the P.o.T. books and have been working diligently on making them the best they can be.
In addition to working with Nevi, Dani has also been working on several stories of her own that she hopes to release in 2015.
When not writing, thinking about writing, editing her writing, or writing some more, Dani is watching TV, obsessing over anime, or devouring books. She reads Tarot and does book cover design on the side to fund her book obsession and writing needs. Nevi spends her non-writing hours drawing, painting, and joining Dani in her TV and anime obsessions.
