QSFer Skylar Cates has a new MM paranormal romance book out:
Can a human ever dominate a werewolf?
Living in a strict world of paranormal do’s and don’t’s is exhausting for Gabe Ryan. After fleeing his home when he became a werewolf, Gabe attempts to forget his family and the young boyfriend he left behind. But he is still haunted by his memories—until a birthday wish leads him to an unexpected confrontation.
A busy emergency room doctor, Ethan Dunn has closed off his heart. He sure as hell does not trust Gabe Ryan, not after the way he abandoned Ethan. If Gabe wants a second chance, he better be ready to risk everything and break all the rules between humans and wolves.

Ignoring the rough chill in the night air, he filled his lungs with the scent of gasoline and salt: the suburbs meeting the sea. He was back. He’d left at sixteen, vowing never to return, but now, on the eve of his thirtieth birthday, Gabe couldn’t resist the lure of his hometown.
His wolf brothers, Sebastian and Luca, had been against it, claiming indulging in stupid nostalgic whim was the kind of thing that got werewolves killed, but Gabe hadn’t been able to stop the itch under his skin, the hunger for his home. He;d hopped ion a train, riding the two hours from New York to Middle Cape. Self-control, yeah, it had never been his strong suit.
Gabe glanced around Main Street, taking in the shops and restaurants, amazed at how much the town had stayed the same. Still as familiar as his own dick. There was Joy’s Diner on the corner, the bank only a hop, skip and jump from it, and the movie theater across the street.
He settled his attention on the Golden Wok. Every Wednesday night his family had shared dinner at that place. if he closed his eyes, he could still taste the lo mein and the greasy crunch of egg rolls. Gabe’s stomach rumbled. He stepped forward, heading toward the restaurant to satisfy his sudden craving, then halted. Even if his folks weren’t in there laughing over their lame fortune cookies, someone else who had known him might be. Someone like Ethan.
Gabe shook his head at his own stupidity. Ethan was long gone. He’d hated living in a place where petty people whispered behind his back about everything from the state of his lawn to his own darkest family secrets. Ethan had wanted to live where people had better things to do with their time. He’d always wanted something bigger, more important than the world Middle Cape had to offer. Gabe hoped he’d found it.
