QSFer Victoria Sue has a new paranormal book out:
Marcus has just become the only human ever to be Alpha of a werewolf pack and thwarted the plans of Anubis to destroy the goddess Sirius’ creation – the werewolves.
Now, Anubis has decided to focus his efforts instead on Marcus and his new pack, to try and destroy the pack from within. In order to do this, Anubis seeks the one thing Marcus wants above all else and when he finds it, will use that to get him to walk away from his mates and the pack.
Unaware of the evil god’s plans, Marcus works together with Kellan and Ricoh, not only trying to help Nate recover from the vicious torture he has undergone at the hands of the terrorist group, The Winter Circle, but to also come to terms with leading a pack of over two thousand wolves.
Marcus soon will be faced with a dilemma, but will he give everything up for his mates and the pack or will the temptation Anubis offers him be too much for one human to refuse? Will Marcus put his wolves before himself or will he be tricked into leaving them behind forever?
Sirius Wolves book Five
Excerpt
It had been five days. Five days since the pack had unilaterally decided that Marcus was going to be their Alpha, and every day he seemed to be reminded of why he didn’t think that was so much of a good idea.
But Nate. His poor, fragile Nate who had gone through unspeakable horrors and only seemed to be at peace when either Ricoh or Marcus were holding him. Nate’s nightmares were getting worse. No one could go in their rooms without bringing on a panic attack that seemed to send Nate further and further down into the black cloud that surrounded him.
Everyone had explained to Marcus that Nate had to shift. A lot of his injuries would heal, and psychologically he needed to reconnect with his wolf, which seemed to be the biggest problem. Nate had been tortured — tortured and conditioned to believe that everything bad that was happening to him was the fault of his wolf. He’d denied his wolf so much and for so long, Blaze said it was unlikely he would be able to shift even if he wanted to now, and Nate definitely didn’t want to.
Matt was also desperate to take another look at him. He had been given goodness knows what in drugs. His arms were covered in needle marks, and unless he shifted his system couldn’t repair that damage either.
Aden touched Marcus’ arm, and turned to Matt. “What about letting me see him first? I might be able to calm him down enough so Conner can bring his wolf.”
Matt shook his head. “I absolutely don’t think summoning his wolf is a good idea.”
“Why on earth not?” Blaze blustered a little.
“Because he’s been tortured to believe his wolf is the source of everything wrong in his life. I have no idea of the mental and psychological damage forcing a change could do.”
“Well, we’re going to have to do something,” Blaze said.
“How about we do this in two stages?” Marcus brightened a little as he spoke. “We give him something mild so you can check on the state of his physical injuries. His chest is healing, but his nail beds and the burns are a mess.”
“Is he eating?” Matt asked.
“Barely,” Marcus replied shortly.
“Then,” Aden said, “I talk to him tomorrow when he isn’t sedated. I can ease his pain while Matt decides if he is ready to grow big and furry.”
Marcus smiled. This was shit, but trust Aden to try and lighten the mood a little. Blaze slung an arm over Aden’s shoulders and brought him close into him. Aden automatically lifted his face for a kiss. Marcus wanted that. He wanted that easy acceptance between him and all three of his mates. “Can you give me something to put in a drink? He likes milk.”
Matt bent down and opened his case. He quickly crushed two tablets up and wrapped them in a piece of paper. “I’ll wait until you call me. They won’t take long.”

Author Bio
Victoria has loved books for as long as she can remember. Books were always what pocket money went on and what usually Father Christmas brought. When she ran out of her kids’ adventure stories, she would go raid her Mom’s. By the age of eight she was devouring classics like Little Women, and fell in love with love stories.
She’s still in love with them. Any size, any shape, any creature – love is love, no matter what it says on the box.
In fact if they don’t fit very neatly into any box she loves them even more! She has a very patient husband and three wonderful children. In 2010 in search of adventure they all moved from the UK to the US and are happily settled in Florida.
In 2013 after reading love stories for so long she decided to write her own.
