Some authors seem to have a penchant for destroying planets and cultures.
Maybe it’s ISIS, or the Great Recession, or just a sense that things generally aren’t right with the world.
So our questions today: What is the appeal of dystopian science fiction, LGBT or not? Is there a deep-seated appetite for the remaking of the world in our collective psyche? Or do we just like seeing things blown up?
