Day Six:
Contests and Giveaways
Welcome to the last day of the Queer Sci Fi Promotions Week! I think it’s gon really well – we’ll do this again next year.
Today we look at one last quiver in the author promotions article – the contest and giveaway option.
One way to generate interest in your book is to give it away. Run a contest on your blog, or take over a FB page and give away copies. But every copy you give away is one more person who doesn’t need to buy it.
So my questions today – do contests and giveaways “work”? Where’s the best place to run them? Do you use “Rafflecopter” or similar apps to do them? How do you get the most bang for your buck without diluting the buying pool?
