Shadow's Edge - Jess Thomas

QSFer Jess Thomas has a new queer fantasy book out, The Chronicles of Darius Book 18: “Shadow’s Edge.”

Words can affect another; it doesn’t take a weapon to slice someone to pieces, only an unkind word or action. Now add black magic, and you’ve created a recipe for disaster. The light peels back the dark, and Darius finds he can’t hide from who he is.

Formed by centuries of experiences, he has risen as high as someone can rise. With his family and his mate Finnal, he struggles to accept his new position of Solarist. Why then do unsaid forces call out to watch his back, while the shadows of his past are haunting him?

Secrets will be revealed, and a love of the ages is once again is put to the test. Will Darius be able to fix his fate as well as Finnal’s? Our hero won’t be able to run and hide from the damage that’s been done; he must face it with his clan and move forward each day with determination away from the Shadow’s Edge.
