Who’s a size queen? Does anyone stop at a thousand pages and think, no, this book is too big? Or are door stops more enticing because the heavier they are, the more effective? Do you think the author has to have struck creative gold to write so much for one story? Or is it more, ‘man, they should seriously have found a better editor or publisher or spent more time at their desk making friends with the mouse and delete button’?
