QSFer Pelaam has a new MM paranormal book out:
Dillon is an omega, which makes him the general whipping boy for the pack, as well as under Brendan, his Alpha brother’s dominion.
The last thing he expects is to visit a fae club, but even less expected is to find himself drawn to Drake; a sassy sprite.
Letting Drake think he’s a pack alpha, Dillon enjoys the sprite’s company, and soon realizes he’s falling for Drake. But as omega, Dillon can’t take a mate without his Alpha’s permission.
Knowing Brendan wouldn’t approve, Dillon keeps their relationship secret, only to find Brendan has already discovered the truth. And is far from pleased.
A prisoner in his brother’s home, Dillon knows he won’t see Drake again.
But Drake has other ideas.

“Are you sure this is the right way?” Dillon glanced at Tel, but his friend’s attention was focused on the road.
“Trust me. The last thing they want is anyone just blundering into their clubs. Just wait until you see it. It’s amazing.”
Tel’s excitement wasn’t an act, and Dillon found it contagious. But Dillon’s anticipation quickly evaporated when, finally, Tel stopped the car and simply parked under a large tree.
“This way.” Tel rushed to get out of the car.
With a shrug, Dillon got out of the car, the dark no issue to lycan senses, and hurried after Tel. There was nothing. They were in the middle of native bush: no road, no path, nothing.
“There it is.” Tel pointed to an innocuous ring of mushrooms deep on the reserve, but even as they approached, Dillon felt the tingle of magic. Fur rippled down his arms and across his chest as if he were about to make the change, or as if responding to unseen danger. Dillon gave a wry smile. It’s just a fairy club. Geez, I’ve faced worse in the pack.
With each step forward he and Tel took, the circle of mushrooms grew larger, expanding into enormous, intricately carved columns. A cool breeze whipped around them, circling them and Dillon scowled at Tel.
“That’s not just wind, is it?”
“Nope.” Tel grinned. “The ring’s protected by sylphs. A type of fairy sprite. But these can create anything from a barely there breeze to the mother of all tornados. The best a lycan can hope against that kind of power is to shift and run like hell.”
A cool chill scratched down Dillon’s spine. Put like that, Dillon wasn’t sure he’d want to get on the wrong side of an air sprite.
When Tel stopped, Dillon stood behind him and waited while his friend pulled out a medallion he wore around his neck. It looked innocuous enough; a simple crystal on a chain, but when Tel held it up, a cascade of color illuminated the gap between the pillars directly in front of them.
“This is Tel. Tonight I have a guest with me. Dillon O’Dey.”
“Approach,” a deep voice resonated, and although Dillon cast out his senses, he couldn’t see, smell, or hear anything out of place.
“Come on.” Tel grabbed Dillon’s hand and pulled him through the pillars and into the kaleidoscope of color.
Disorientated, Dillon growled, and peals of laughter rang out as he emerged inside the club.
“Aww. Poor puppy. Come over here. We’ll pet you.”
Dillon didn’t reply, he was too preoccupied trying to take everything in. Tel hadn’t been exaggerating. The club was magical. In both senses of the word. The light had diminished enough for Dillon to see clearly.
If anyone ever designed an organic nightclub, Dillon was sure they’d make millions. He could have still been in the forest with all the trees and flowers, yet there was an impression of being inside at the same time.
But the forest didn’t have an illuminated bar and seating reminiscent of overgrown toadstools. A group of what might have been fairies, fae, or sprites sat around, legs splayed wide, and they eyed Dillon and Tel, the way any predator would some tasty, fresh meat.
The group of fae lounged casually, but Dillon wouldn’t think of those guys sprinkling multicolored glitter. Every one of them wore their hair long, ranging in color from jet-black to silver-blond, pushed back behind elegantly pointed ears. Their broad, smooth, bare chests glistened, and their black pants looked sprayed onto solidly muscled legs, the dark material contrasting sharply with the paleness of their skin.
Although that look didn’t normally attract Dillon, he couldn’t help but stare until one of them waved at him, jolting him out of his rapidly lust-laden daydreams.
“Come and play with us, little puppy. We promise not to bite. Too hard.” The fae laughed aloud and the rest of the group joined in.
“Ignore them. Come on.” Disregarding another round of whistles and shouts, Tel forged ahead, and Dillon made sure to stay just a step behind him.
There seemed to be no end to the club, as if the forest, or wherever they truly were, extended infinitely. The only consistency was the dappled lighting either from the multicolored stars in the sky, or lights and lanterns in trees.
Tel led them past a pool and Dillon stared—more like a lagoon. I can’t even see the far side—and several sprites and fae, both male and female, called out to them. Some sat and others stretched out beside the water, but there were a good number in the water swimming around.
Tel just waved at them and walked on. “Water sprites. They tend to be a bit mischievous. Not malicious as such. No pulling the unsuspecting in to be drowned, like you’ll read about, but not my type at all. And I’ve got no desire to go skinny dipping with them. In the water their hands are all over you, like an octopus.”
“Uh, no. Guess not, then.” Dillon wondered just how much time Tel had been spending around fairies to suddenly be such an expert on them. “Are there other clubs?”
“Oh, yeah. There are FFS clubs everywhere.” Tel nodded, but didn’t look around.
“Are all the FFS clubs like this one?” Dillon was still reeling from the sheer size of the place.
“Dunno.” Tel shook his head. “Alon’s never said. Maybe it varies between countries. I mean, look at this place.” Tel stopped and waved his hands. “This is New Zealand to a tee. Clean and green. But then, maybe as this is the fae realm, it just takes on whatever environment they like.”
