LBGTAQ Zombie Speed Dating.
Hollis Morgan gazed at the black banner in horror. It had white writing with blood spatter on it. It was disturbing and out of place. The blood spatter was bordering on tacky. Zombies didn’t go crazy and eat brains anymore unless they went off their meds.
Some people still fell back on stereotypes, which he hated. He also hated zombie movies, sunset walks on the beach and dating.
“This is a really bad idea. I don’t want to be here.” Hollis glared at his best friend.
“You promised.” Felix crossed his arms over his chest.
“Are you pouting? Zombies don’t pout. I only agreed under duress and you never said anything about speed dating.” Hollis pointed to the sign.
The restaurant where the event was being held was filling up fast. Who knew zombies dating would be such a thing? Maybe they wouldn’t be able to get in. There was no way he wanted to do any kind of dating, let alone speed dating. The things Felix could talk him into should be criminal. Hell, some of them were.
“We aren’t doing the speed-dating part anyway. Chill out. We have actual dates.” Felix beamed, his smile so bright, Hollis flinched.
Somehow, he didn’t believe his friend. Felix lied to get what he wanted. It was just something he did and Hollis had come to terms with it a long time ago.
“That doesn’t make it any better. Where did you find them?”
“The morgue.” Felix winked.
“What?” he shouted.
