Puppies and Kittens

OK, so we’ve had a few rough discussion topics this week, and it’s been a hard week for me personally. Nothing earth-shattering – just a combination of too much to do and too little sleep. So today we’re gonna depart from the usual format for a little palette cleanser. Please post your favorite photos of puppies and kittens. Or birds or lizards or kangaroos – we don’t want to alienate our other-animal-loving friends. Extra points for genre themed pics – space cats, were puppies, elf hamsters and the like. Go!

For Writers: Skoliosexual

Skoliosexual

Today’s writer topic comes from QSFer Elizabeth Barrette: I recently came across the term “skoliosexual,” meaning someone attracted to nonbinary (transgender, agender, genderqueer, etc.) partners. For Readers: Overarching Plots

Today’s reader topic comes from QSFer Hank T. Cannon: Do you like “overplots” in your sci-fi/fantasy? Do you like your novels/series purely self contained, or do you want each book to advance a larger plot? It’s a great question. For me, it depends. I like to know, going in, that it’s a series if the book I am reading is gonna end on a cliffhanger. Otherwise, it can be really abrupt when you reach the end of a realluy good read and realize the author hasn’t published the next one yet. *glares at Albert Nothlit* But as long as I … Read more
